- Remove spots/spills immediately.
- The longer it remains, the better the chance of permanent discoloration.
- Some spots/spills require a professional.
- Repeated attempts to remove the spot may set the stain or cause permanent damage.
- Never Rub—-Only Blot!
Needed Supplies & Tools
- GM Cleaning Professional Spotter
- Household Ammonia
- White Vinegar
- Mild Detergent (1/2 tbsp to 8oz of water)
- Absorbent white cotton towels or cloths
- Sponge
- Agitation Tool

Treatment Procedures
Common Household Food / Beverage Spill
- Blot up excess with absorbent towel.
- Using sponge or towel and warm water, blot area thoroughly.
- If spot persists, apply First Action to spot/spill without over using solution.
- Agitate area with a dull instrument.
- Blot up with towel or sponge.
- If spot persists, consult GM Cleaning Inc
More difficult spots, Sugars, Starches (Blood, Milk, Ice Cream, Candy, Salad Dressing)
- Remove excess by blotting with absorbent towel.
- Apply First Action or mild detergent.
- Apply household ammonia.
- Agitate area with dull instrument.
- If spot persists, call GM Cleaning Inc.
- Leave towel on spot and place a heavy object (that won’t transfer paint/dye) over towel on spot for 2-4 hours.
Most difficult spots/stains, Beverages, Kool Aid, Mustard, Urine (Tea,Coffee, Beer, Soda, Fresh Kool-Aid or Urine)
- Remove excess by blotting with towel.
- Apply First Action or mild detergent.
- Apply vinegar.
- Agitate area.
- Blot up totally with towel.
- If necessary, repeat steps 2-5.
- If spot persists, call GM Cleaning Inc.
- Leave towel on spot and place a heavy object (that won’t transfer paint/dye) over towel on spot for 2-4 hours.
Specialized Spotting Problems - Do Not Attempt to Remove:
- Acne medications
- Plant food
- Rust
- Grease
- Dried glue
- Tar
- Ink
- Nail polish
- Lipstick
- Furniture stains
- Heavy candle wax
- Cosmetics
- Dried mustard
- Dried paint
- Burns
- Old Kool-Aid stains or any dried bright colored spots.
